Remembering 40 Years

Looking back on my life, I can see some good times, some bad times, some awful times, and some amazing times. I remember bearing down on the books in high school and being thrown full speed into college. How the professor looked like he was going to fall asleep in criminal justice and how my calculator always ran out of batteries in business. I'm glad with my choices in college and I had a good time there. Straight out of college I took a job as a cop and took a course in civil engineering in the off time. I am very regretful that I didn't manage my time better. When that was finally over, life was pretty good. It was twelve years ago when I started my own civil engineering company and ran it in the off time of being a cop. With a nice pension and a job I love I had no money troubles. Things have been this way ever since. It's been a good life.
